<p>Online Marketing Director is the key partner to the SVP, Marketing and is responsible for helping the team drive customer acquisition and revenue growth through SEM (paid search), SEO, Affiliate Marketing, and Email. A position where that will call on strategic and tactical execution, this person will design and execute a broad range of campaigns to facilitate customer acquisition.</p>
<p>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS:<br />
• Development and execution of strategies for customer acquisition &#038; customer retention aligned with business strategy.<br />
• Lifetime value analysis and retention, customer-centric initiative development and implementation.<br />
• A/B Testing and product development.<br />
• Reporting and analyzing acquisition metrics and profitability<br />
• Executing the email contact strategy for re-marketing/reactivation of database prospects<br />
• Link Building and affiliate/social media outreach<br />
• Consult with key internal executives regarding development &#038; alignment of multi-channel marketing programs across digital channels (e.g., site, banners, search, e-mail)</p>
<p>• Manage marketing/media vendor relationships<br />
• Analyze and interpret marketing program results to drive future client marketing strategies<br />
• Determine set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization modeling requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of optimization efforts</p>

<p>CRITICAL CORE COMPETENCIES:<br />
• Communication – Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with all department units on a regular basis regarding marketing campaigns and projects.</p>
<p>• Time Management – Must be able to determine accurate time estimate to internal customers regarding project completion and be able to meet those established schedules. Is relied upon to complete tasks in an efficient matter and be accountable for their actions as well as prioritize based on the needs of the business.</p>
<p>• Problem Solving – Responsible for researching and taking the initiative to solve issues such as web site performance issues, campaign performance and project timelines,</p>
<p>• Attention to Detail – Will have strong attention to detail regarding campaigns, creative, project plans.</p>
<p>REQUIRED:<br />
• 7+ years marketing experience in web environment.<br />
• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related area. MBA is also desired but not required.<br />
• Hands-on experience managing campaigns across multiple online channels.<br />
• Experience in online consumer media and demonstrated success in online traffic acquisition marketing.<br />
• Solid understanding of user-site flow dynamics and optimization.<br />
• Database Marketing &#038; Customer segmentation.<br />
• Experience in online consumer media and demonstrated success in online traffic acquisition marketing.<br />
• Proven success with keyword research and optimizing search engine marketing campaigns through organic and paid marketing programs.<br />
• Ability to create, analyze and communicate site analytics and performance metrics.<br />

• Above average analytical, quantitative, verbal and written communication skills.<br />

<p>Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or equivalent experience. Masters in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or equivalent experience a plus.</p>

The Director of Online Marketing for Vail Resorts will lead the rapid growth of the 5 mountain brands (Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly) and all corporate initiatives (i.e. snow.com, Epic Pass) in the virtual world. The successful candidate will be an expert in creating active and engaging social community networks based on our lifestyle offerings hosted on our collective websites. The candidate will be instrumental in creating the websites that deliver the Vail Resorts brand experiences and drive engagement and ultimately planning and booking to the bottom line. Proven expertise in display advertising, SEO/SEM and other emerging platforms in capturing interest and demand will be critical to activate involvement and transaction in our collective products and offerings.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<p>    * Online Business Strategy: Develop Vail Resorts&#8217; collective strategy to leverage the Internet for the marketing and sales of its portfolio of services and products.<br />
    * Online Guest Experience: Lead Vail Resorts&#8217; various marketing organizations to optimize the guest experience on its websites and maximize online sales.<br />
    * Establish best practices and standards; Identify new technologies to employ across the company&#8217;s websites;  Capitalize on opportunities to invest collectively in new functionality; Implement user testing and research.<br />
    * Analyze and report website usage data including a rigorous ROI.<br />
    * Online/Offline Integration: Partner with central reservations, ticketing and other offline businesses to integrate the online and offline experience for our guests.<br />
    * Customer Relationship Management: Partner with Marketing Services to implement our CRM strategy online and to ensure the integration of our online CRM efforts with our offline efforts.<br />
    * Web Technology Platform: Partner with internal IT to develop the company&#8217;s web technology platform.<br />
    * Online Marketing: Lead the company&#8217;s online marketing efforts including: Strategy, Advertising media planning and buying, Creative development, management/trafficking, Paid search, Organic search, Measurement/analysis/reporting.<br />
    * Agency Management: Lead/support/coordinate various marketing organizations relationships with web design/development agencies.<br />
    * Budget Management: Manage expense and capital budgets totaling more than $2 million.<br />
    * Manage additional projects as assigned by the CMO</p>
<p>Qualifications : </p>
<p>    * Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, business development and/or business strategy, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in e-commerce or online marketing, with responsibility for user experience development/management, e-commerce, online marketing and/or online business strategy.  Experience managing the development of marketing plans, print advertising, Internet marketing plans, promotions and collateral materials is preferred. Experience with online video generation.<br />
    * Four-year college degree is required;focus in marketing, computer science, behavioral science or research is beneficial.  Masters-level degree preferred.<br />
    * Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior-level audiences.<br />
    * Experience managing staff and proven success in leadership.  Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals. Experience managing many projects simultaneously to successful execution.  Familiarity with the travel industry, and the online travel customer decision-making process is helpful.<br />
    * Active interest in skiing, snowboarding and travel is helpful.<br />
    * Travel to our various resorts and lodging properties will be required weekly.<br />
    * SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Reports directly to the CMO, supervises 3 manager positions and one coordinator position. Dotted-line relationship with 5 mountain brand online teams.</p>
